A place to work towards agreement
Mediation helps parties explore settlement with an independent neutral. Each side can have its own representative. The mediator advises neither party; the decision to settle remains yours.
J S Newman Williams trained through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and worked in accident-benefits mediation at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Mediation fees
- Half day · up to 4 hours
- $1,750 + HST
- Full day · up to 8 hours
- $3,000 + HST
- Workplace mediation
- From $2,500 + HST
Session fees include brief review and separate preparation calls, normally shared between parties. Workplace mediation is employer-paid. The agreement confirms scope, deposit, cancellation terms and additional work.
Booking and preparation
Send all party and counsel names first. Availability is confirmed within one business day. Booking follows the conflict check, signed Agreement to Mediate and deposit. Briefs are due seven days before the session.
